May is ALS awareness month. Last year, millions of people, including National Life’s senior leadership team, took the Ice Bucket Challenge to help find a cure. $115 million dollars was raised that supported six programs and initiatives to expedite the search for treatments and a cure. Currently there is no cure and treatment is limited.

According to the ALS Association, every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with and someone passes away from ALS. There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with ALS right now.
